The TCO Benefits of Dell’s Next-Generation Telco Servers

CSPs worldwide are in the process of deploying 5G networks, many of which use telco cloud architectures. In a telco cloud, virtual RAN functions and virtual packet core functions run on standard x86 servers. This paper focuses on the total cost of ownership benefits of moving from the current generation of servers based on Intel’s 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors to the next generation of telco servers using 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors with Intel vRAN Boost.
